I've been drawing and painting as long as I can remember. Creativity was a common trait in my family. Some of my early inspiration came from old skateboard art, graffiti and the street art in and around San Francisco. There were some amazing things happening here in the 90's.
I have spent a lot of my time traveling and opening my eyes to new cultures and ideas. I learned a lot about my creative side during those adventures. I have always returned home to the Bay Area. My studio, Small Shadow Studio has been in the same building in West Oakland for 10 years now. From graphic design, to large scale installation paintings and sculpture, I'm able to create a large spectrum of work there.
The Bay Area is a great place to be a working artist. I look forward to working and living here for many years to come.
